About the Tour

Hurricane Irma Update

We have communicated with our hosts and vendors. Most will be up and running in October, a few in November. Roads have been inspected and will be fine. The Florida Keys and other parts of Florida are expected to be open for business at the time of our tours. We will keep travelers on these tours posted as to any itinerary changes.

All new for 2018, journey down the scenic 110-mile Overseas Highway through the narrow islands of Florida’s Keys. Pass through iconic Key Largo, lush wildlife reserves and marine sanctuaries, romantic beach scenes, tropical forests, and one of the longest segmental bridges in the world. Then, stay in colorful Key West, the nation’s southernmost city (it’s actually closer to Havana, Cuba than Miami). You’ll love its street entertainment and artists, festivity, literary heritage, dining opportunities and more!

And, you'll be amazed by the lush flora and colorful wildlife of famed Everglades National Park -- a World Heritage site that's home to hundreds of animal species. Watch for the endangered leatherback turtle, the Florida panther, American crocodile and the West Indian manatee, to name a few. It's a wonderful, warm-weather get away to the “other” Florida—local, less-traveled, Country Travel DISCOVERIES-style!
