DAY 1—WELCOME TO ANCHORAGE!

DAY 2—VALDEZ/SOLOMON GLUTCH HATCHERY
Today, begin by traveling to Valdez with a stop for a breathtaking view of the Matanuska Glacier. Once in Valdez, enjoy a guided tour of the Solomon Gulch Hatchery to learn about Coho and pink salmon that are released from the hatchery. Visit the Valdez Museum & Historical Archive to take in the heritage and history of the Copper River Basin, Prince William Sound, and Valdez. Delight in dinner on your own at a local eatery. B, L

DAY 3—PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND
Continue your exploration of Alaska by boarding a marine vessel to sail Prince Willam Sound, 10,000 square miles of protected waterways, islands, fjords, and glaciers. Together you will learn about the mining, oil shipping, earthquake, and fishing history of the area while searching for diverse wildlife that call this area home. While cruising, partake in a light meal onboard as you glide through this entrancing landscape. The remainder of your day is for leisure to explore Valdez. B, L

DAY 4—DENALI/WRANGELL-ST. ELIAS NATIONAL PARK
Embark on a scenic journey from Valdez to Denali. En route, keep watch for the captivating sight of majestic glaciers and cascading waterfalls. We will stop at the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Preserve Visitor Center for a chance to earn a new stamp in your National Parks Passport. After, you will venture along Denali Highway, a road less traveled with spectacular glimpses of the Alaskan wilderness and Wrangell-St. Elias Ranges. These ranges are home to one of the greatest collections of glaciers in North America. Settle in for your first night stay in Denali. B, L

DAY 5—DENALI NATIONAL PARK/CABIN NITE
Travel into Denali National Park on your Tundra Wilderness tour accompanied by captivating stories of the park. While listening to the tales, search for iconic Alaskan wildlife: bear, sheep, moose, caribou, and more. Together we will visit the Denali Discovery Center at Otto Lake where you learn more about the park’s rich natural and cultural history. Tonight, enjoy a festive and entertaining Cabin Nite dinner. DAY 6—TALKEETNA/SUSITNA RIVER JET BOAT RIDE/TRAIN RIDE
This morning, venture south to Talkeetna where you will have a chance to experience its charming downtown. Next, board a jet boat that takes you on the scenic Susitna River with breathtaking views. We will be joined by a naturalist to share meaningful stories about the area and the waterways that flow through it. Finally, continue embracing all modes of transportation through Alaska by boarding a deluxe dome railcar headed to Anchorage with magnificent views around every corner. B, D

DAY 7—HAPPY TRAILS KENNELS/MUSK OX FARM
Visit Happy Trails Kennels, home to Iditarod winner Martin Buser and his sled dogs. Gain an understanding of the meticulous process of sled dog training and care before meeting the stars of the team, the dogs and puppies. Afterward, stop at the Musk Ox Farm where you can learn about the prehistoric mammal that roamed the earth alongside saber-tooth tigers and woolly mammoths. Enjoy lunch at a local farm while having a chance to experience the Alaskan agriculture of the area before returning to Anchorage. B, L

DAY 8—ALASKA STATE FAIR
It’s time to explore the Alaska State Fair! Board your motorcoach and travel north to Palmer, where you will spend the entire day experiencing the vibrant celebration of the Last Frontier’s unique agriculture community before the summer fades to the long Alaskan winter. Marvel at the record-setting produce, admire the beauty of award-winning livestock, be entertained by local performers, take in the rich heritage of Alaska at the cultural exhibits, and try some gourmet delicacies. The Alaska State Fair is an unforgettable experience that celebrates the unique spirit of Alaska. B

DAY 9TRAVEL HOME
This morning concludes your Alaskan adventure as you depart for home, taking memories of this beautiful state and all that it has to offer. B
