DAY 1—WELCOME TO GRAPEVINE!
After arriving in Dallas, check into the hotel for the next four nights. This hotel will be a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area in anticipation of the season. Meet your fellow travelers and Tour Director for this five-day adventure during our welcome dinner. D
DAY 2—HISTORIC GRAPEVINE/WINE TASTING/GAYLORD TEXAN RESORT
Start today in Grapevine with a guided tour of this historic city to learn how it earned its name as the Christmas Capital of Texas. Enjoy lunch in Harvest Hall, a building inspired by the grand train stations of the 1900s with a view overlooking the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. After some additional time to explore and shop, participate in a holiday experience at the Settlement to City Museum by creating Christmas treasures before taking part in a tasting of premium Texas wines. Finally, embrace the unique experience of the Gaylord Texan Resort’s ICE! Adventure. Stroll through ice sculptures hand crafted by artists for over 12,000 hours from two million pounds of ice. B, L
DAY 3—DALLAS ARBORETUM AND BOTANICAL GARDEN/SIXTH FLOOR MUSEUM
Today we will venture outside Grapevine to nearby Dallas. Begin by visiting one of the top gardens in the world, The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, to see an area transformed with Christmas villages, trees, nutcrackers, and even more decorations for the holiday season. Following that, we will tour the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza which documents the assassination and lasting impact of President John F. Kennedy. Within the historic building, you will find more than 90,000 items related to the legacy of the Kennedy presidency and the turbulent times of the 1960s. Continue through some local landmarks and structures of the Dallas area. After, return to Grapevine for a group dinner with local holiday entertainment. B, L, D
DAY 4—HISTORIC NASH FARM/TEXAS STAR DINNER THEATER
This morning, journey back in time to the Nash Farm which is an experience that reflects the lives of early settlers to the Grape Vine Prairie. While at the farm, you will find authentic structures, exhibits, and demonstrations of the period related to the Christmas holiday. For lunch today, visit one of the most iconic buildings located in Grapevine that has been a dry goods store, theater, automotive garage, and now restaurant – all since 1914. Enjoy a farewell dinner with your fellow travelers during a performance at the Texas Star Dinner Theater, a holiday experience like no other! B, L, D
DAY 5—FORT WORTH STOCKYARDS/RETURN HOME
Your last day together will include a tour of the Fort Worth Stockyards, decorated to reflect the season. We will embark on a walking tour through the classic sites and hear stories that have remained timeless in Texas. Then our Christmas adventure will come to an end, and we will depart with an abundance of new holiday memories to share. B
